Developed in the 1870s and was 1st named Reservoir Park. The name was later changed to Columbian Park, which honored the Columbian Expo in Chicago, and was Lafayette's first park. The expo celebrated the 400-year anniversary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to this continent.
Columbian Park is home to the 2nd oldest zoo in Indiana offering 190 animals representing 79 different species.
Spend a day at Tropicanoe Cove spiraling down the Banana Peel tube slide or floating around on Cattail Crik.
Loeb Stadium hosts numerous baseball games and other events, including the annual Colt World Series games.

Murdock Park

Community park. The sled run is a favorite wintertime attraction. A snow machine insures that the perfect amount of white powder is available when cold temperatures prevail. Murdock Park is one of Lafayette's few urban forest stands.
